American Rhythm.  This locally-produced show features booty-shaking music from the 50s to now, a spectrum of Swing, Rockabilly, Jump Blues, Roots-Rock, Latin Roots/Lounge, Funk, retro & remix culture.

Sat. 4/11 7p:  UNM's Johnson field transforms into a music festival Saturday afternoon and KUNM will be there.  Starting at 7:00 pm KUNM will broadcast some of the best performances of the day from Ugly Robot, Repel the Robot, Sol de la Noche, Sphynx, Lonely Biscuits and many others.

In assembling KUNM's 5-hour coverage of the 10th annual Globalquerque! Festival of World Music and Culture in September, we had to leave out some great performances. Below you can find full audio from the action on all three stages over both days of the Festival.

Working with the Audio Excellence group and NHCC's technical staff were KUNM engineers Roman Garcia, Ethan Stein, Eli Willard, Marshall Broyles and Alex Williams. Video by Jefferson White.

Sat. 7/19 7p: Once again KUNM broadcasts Summerfest, live from Nob Hill in Albuquerque.  You’ll hear the phenomenal guitar work of singer-songwriter Raul Midon. Also, enjoy local musicians like bluesman Chris Dracup, women's voice and percussion ensemble Mala Maña and Albuquerque’s newest Salsa Group En-Joy.  Grammy winners Arrested Development will end the show with their unique brand of positive hip-hop.

It’s the next best thing to being there! Live and local music from Summerfest, Saturday night starting at 7:00.

Sat. 2/8 8p: When The Beatles arrived in the United States in February of 1964, no one could have anticipated the impact the band would have on the history of popular music and pop culture. Tens of millions of Americans remember their first experiences of hearing the Beatles on their radios, seeing them on television or the movies. A smaller number saw one of their concerts on The Beatles ground-breaking first U.S. tour. Beatle John Lennon used to characterize it like a hurricane with the Beatles trying to keep themselves in the relatively calm eye. Producer, Paul Ingles

KUNM will go live from Nob Hill in Albuquerque starting at 7pm with highlights of the days' performances.  Then we’ll join the main stage  for a New Orleans style party with  The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.  Tune in and celebrate Summer with us!
