NM Rep. Steve Pearce: "no constitutional authority" for funding public broadcasting

Albuquerque, NM – New Mexico 2nd District Representative Steve Pearce says it may be unconstitutional for the government to provide public funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Pearce, who cast the lone New Mexico delegation vote in favor of defunding the agency, says the government shouldn't be in the radio or television business. KUNM's Jim Williams asked him about that, as well as the current budget situation and Pearce's call to greatly increase logging in the forests of the U.S. Southwest.
