The association's executive committee meets in Des Moines next Monday and through Wednesday. The meeting features panel discussions on education, economic development and
Sanchez, a former state legislator, took office last year as lieutenant governor. He was Republican Gov. Susana Martinez's running mate in the 2010 general election.
The association's members are government officials who are first in line of succession as governor, including lieutenant governors, secretaries of state and some state Senate presidents.
