Albuquerque, NM – In the United States, it's often considered a disease of the past, but last year TB was the leading killer of people with AIDS around the world. It's also especially dangerous for young women.
Roxanne Allen is a local volunteer with RESULTS, an organization which works to end poverty.
She says tuberculosis is curable and there are ways to stop the spread of the disease, but more political will is needed to save lives and protect people both in New Mexico and around the world.
