Mon. Oct 1, 8pm: ENCUENTRO, South American music band -led by vocalist JACKIE ZAMORA and charango player KILKO PAZ-, will bring live on RAÍCES their unique musical blend of flavors from Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela and Chile.
They will present their musical voyage as a "Peña" at the Outpost Performance Space, Saturday October 6th, 7:30pm.
ENCUENTRO also features Carlos Noboa (Ecuador) on bass, quena, zampoña and vocals; Mario Rubio (Ecuador) on quena, zampoña and lead vocal; Hernan Rubio (Ecuador) on guitar and vocals; David Diaz (Peru) on guitar and vocals; and Fidel Gonzales (Mexico) on percussion.
