Wed. 8/10 at 10pm: Get ready for the 7th Annual ?Globalquerque! festival (which will be broadcast live on KUNM September 16 and 17) by reliving moments from previous festivals.Every September, New Mexico's Celebration of World Music and Culture takes over the entire campus of the National Hispanic Cultural Center. The best artists from around the world descent on Albuquerque to perform alongside artists representing New Mexico's Hispanic and Native American heritage.
This week's show will feature performances by Nation Beat (Brazil/USA) and Saints & Tzadiks (Irish/Yiddish) from ?Globalquerque! 2009. The show was produced by Southwest Stages in collaboration with KUNM, Native Voice 1 and ?Globalquerque!
Nation Beat will be performing at the ?Globalquerque! night at the Santa Fe Bandstand with The Brazil Project on August 15th. They will also be at Route 66 Casino on August 13th.
