Sat. 21 June 4:15pm: Grand Rapids, MI based Folias Flute and Guitar Duo with flutist Carmen Maret and guitarist Andrew Bergeron play live their own compositions in a studio session. We talked about the crossing experience of concert chamber music with Argentinian folk and tango, and their connection to nature as inspiration for their compositions.

Sat. 17 May, 4:15pm: In an interview with violinist James Anderson, founder of the Austin Piazzolla Quintet we´ll talk about the connection of the Quintet to Piazzolla´s music, the freedom to create, improvise and recreate through Piazzolla´s inspiration.
You´ll listen their awe-inspiring, and at the same time, playful brushes of music all along the show!
Sat. 3 May, 4:15 pm: From an iconic tanguero neighborhood of Buenos Aires, La Boca, we converse with Pablo Bernaba, founder of QUINTETO NEGRO LA BOCA.
In their impressive successful show Tangos negros y libertarios, the QNLB performs traditional, new, and socially-involved tango with the lyrics of the Argentinian writer, Osvaldo Bayer (author of La Patagonia Rebelde).

In this 1923 tango, Gardel, León Gieco, Libertad Lamarque, The Chieftains and Galician Celtic musician Carlos Núñez honor the story of an immigrant -from Spain to Argentina- who was prostituted to be able to send money back home.

TE AMO, ARGENTINA, a journey through the heart and soul of Argentina, is a multimedia concert featuring music from Amerindian rhythms of the Andes Mountains to the sounds of the city-street cafés of Buenos Aires. The performance will take place on Wed. Oct. 9 (National Hispanic Cultural Center, Albuquerque), and Frid. Oct 11 (Lensic Theater, Santa Fe).
