Youth Activists Subject of Santa Fe Mural
Several of Santa Fe’s youngest environmental activists are featured in a new 120 foot mural at the city’s Warehouse 21 teen arts center.

Local artist Ann Staveley photographed the students and pasted their pictures onto the mural by graffiti artist John Santos.
Santos explains that two curving solar panels in the piece are meant to be "like blankets being cast over the old way"...the "old way" here depicted as two sets of coal-fired smokestacks on either side of the mural. "And the people casting the blankets are the organizers," he says.
