at the NM Museum of Natural History until Nov. 30

Sat, 10/11: Unique qualities of the Reggio Emilia, Italy approach engage early childhood educators and families at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History.

Baji Rankin takes us on a tour of the traveling exhibit, The Wonder of Learning, The Hundred Languages of Children- in New Mexico until November 30. Put together by teachers and parents in Reggio Emilia, Italy, the exhibit shows children who are free to explore their environment and work with their teachers to develop a learning experience. Baji Rankin, the Executive Director of the New Mexico Association for the  Education of Young Children, is an authority on the Reggio Emilia approach. Summing up the exhibit, she declares "This is the way to get children to read by age three-having these wonderful experiences when children are infants and toddlers."
