For more than 13 years, Congressman Charlie Gonzalez, a Democrat, has been representing Texas’s 20th district in Washington D.C. During his tenure he’s held a seat on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and he’s the outgoing chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus
Gonzalez was in town yesterday campaigning for Democratic senatorial candidate Martin Heinrich. However he took some time to stop by KUNM to talk with reporter Carrie Jung about everything from energy policy to immigration reform. And with the tight presidential race this year, he says the Hispanic vote has the potential to make or break this election.
