Thu. 10/11 11a: Following the passing of a loved one, you will probably learn something new about that person and the life they led from the stories that unravel from their family and their friends.

Some of those stories might include heroic deeds or the contributions they made to improve the education and economic status for their tribe, or their dedication to maintaining the language and culture of their tribal heritage.

A newly published book titled, “Spirit of the Ojibwe,” highlights the history and culture of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe that includes short stories and oil portraitures of 32 Ojibwe elders.

How does our perception change about a person we know when we read something or view an image of them from a different perspective?
