But late last week nearly a dozen Native actors walked off the set of a western parody starring Adam Sandler, citing racism, sexism and derogatory jokes about Native people in the script. Within hours #NotYourHollywoodIndian began trending on social media, sparking a national conversation on what it means to be an Indigenous person in front of the camera.
