Native American Elders In Need of Dual Language Health Information
This week, nine U.S. Senators, including Jeff Bingaman and Tom Udall of New Mexico signed onto a letter calling on President Barrack Obama to fully fund services for American Indian communities.
Federal funding for Indian Health Services has been declining over the past 30 years. Some people say this represents another broken treaty promise made to American Indian Tribes. As KUNM's Colleen Keane reports, it's heavily impacting tribal elders.
A version of this story will appear in next week's online edition of The Santa Fe Reporter.
