National Parks on the Chopping Block

Wed. 2/27 8a: Unless there's a last minute deal between Congress and the White House, draconian spending cuts will take effect across the federal government on March 1st. 

Joan Anzelmo, spokesperson for the Coalition of National Park Service Retirees, tells host Steve Curwood that the National Park Service’s already limited budget will be squeezed another 5% hit, causing delayed park openings and reduced staff.
