Live In-studio: Zeb and Haniya

Wed 9/19/12 1:30p: They have been described as "among the most innovative musicians in Pakistan."

Their debut album Chup (Hush) has received glowing reviews. They are credited with creating an entirely new canon of jazz-influenced numbers and blues in Urdu.

Zeb and Haniya are touring the U.S. as part of Center Stage, an initiative of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.  It brings contemporary artists from Haiti, Indonesia and Pakistan to this country to engage the American people in cultural diplomacy.  They'll be appearing at Globalquerque Friday and Saturday nights.
