Live In-Studio: Pistolera

Mon. 7/25 at (roughly) 140pm: Pistolera/Moona Luna will drop by the KUNM studios for a short performance and interview with DJ Peggy Hessing. Pistolera is a critically acclaimed New York band whose accordion-driven dance music has fans around the world dancing cumbias to the group's socially conscious songs?en espa?ol?about immigrants' rights, war, racism, feminism, and life on the border. Their alter ego Moona Luna is a bilingual family band.

Moona Luna will be performing at the National Hispanic Cultural Center on 7/24 and at the South Broadway Library on 7/26. They'll be transforming into Pistolera on their KUNM visit before performing with Rupa and the April Fishes at the NHCC on 7/25. For information on all of these shows, visit AMPConcerts.org.
