The KUNM Radio Board Needs You

In accordance with the UNM Regents Bylaws of the KUNM Radio Board, the Provost of the University will appoint three “at large” members to the Radio Board in August.  The term of appointment is two years.  Appointees will be expected to attend board meetings and serve on board committees.

Presently, the Radio Board meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  This is subject to change depending on the needs of Board members.  Meetings are held in Scholes Hall, Room 101 on the UNM campus.

If you would like to be considered for appointment to the Radio Board, please send a letter of interest, including your qualifications, to the Office of the Secretary, MSC05 3340, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, 87131.  All letters must be received by July 13.  Nominations may be e-mailed to  -- unmelect@unm.edu.   Do not send nominations to KUNM.

The KUNM Radio Board is made up of the following constituencies:

a. two (2) undergraduate students, appointed by the President of ASUNM;

b. one (1) graduate student, appointed by the President of the GPSA;

c. two (2) faculty members, appointed by the President of the Faculty Senate;

d. One (1) University staff member, appointed by the President of the Staff Council;

e. four (4) community members, elected by subscribers;

f. three (3) "at large" members appointed by the Provost and

g. one (1) Volunteer Representative, elected by KUNM Volunteers.
