Keeping Books In Our Lives. Part 1, Mira Jacob
New Mexico welcomes home Corrales native Mira Jacob, whose just-published novel, Sleepwalker's Guide to Dancing, sparked a bidding war among publishers.
After ten years in the writing and noticed by People and Vogue, the buzz about this first novel extends abroad and to possible film deals. Jacob founded Pete's Reading Series in Brooklyn, where literary icons and tomorrow's stars take the stage. Jacob will appear at Bookworks, in Albuquerque, on July 22 at 7pm.
It's funny, heartbreaking, gentle, brutal, and has some of the best and most honest scenes depicting sibling relationships and parent-child relationships I've ever read. Thanks, Mira. It's great. Molly Schmidt-Nowara
