Interview: Toney Anaya Talks about Federal Stimulus Spending and Accountability

Albuquerque, NM – Today marks the one year anniversary of when President Barack Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act into law.

The federal stimulus spending package is sending millions of federal dollars into New Mexico programs.

Former Governor Toney Anaya is heading up the New Mexico office of Recovery and Reinvestment.

His office has tallied more than 10,000 jobs that were created by federal spending last year. However, he says those numbers don't tell the whole story.
