Hate Crimes in New Mexico

KUNM Call In Show Thu 7/19 8a: How do law enforcement officers decide whether a crime falls under state and federal hate crimes laws?  Is there a lot of extremist activity in New Mexico?  This week on the KUNM Call In Show, an exclusive interview with the lead FBI agent who investigated the swastika branding case in Farmington.  It was the first case to be charged, prosecuted and to lead to a conviction under the federal Matthew Shepard & James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009.  We'll take your calls and comments online.  You can also email callinshow@kunm.org.
