Sat. 10/29, 12p Women's Focus

Carol Boss speaks with Meg Elison and Dr. Laurie Berdahl on the language, behavior, and aggression that have been front and center in this presidential campaign and the implications for young women, children and society...

Feminist Meg Elison is the author of the award-winning science fiction novel, The Book of the Unnamed Midwife, at the heart of which is a woman's right to bodily autonomy and reproductive freedom. She takes a modern-day look at women's equality and access to reproductive health creating a near future where those rights could be easily lost. Dr. Berdahl is the author of Warning Signs: How to Protect Your Kids from Becoming Victims or Perpetrators of Violence and Aggression and will discuss how the words and actions coming forth this election season are harmful for society and youth, how the sexist bullying endangers women and girls and the behavior legitimizes aggression against women.
