Eden Brent - Live at Levitt Shell in Overton Park in Memphis, Tennessee

Wed. 1/12: Plus, Juke Joint Duo live at Tampa Bay Blues Festival in Tampa, Florida.

Eden is an award-winning American musician on the independent Yellow Dog Records label. A blues pianist and vocalist, she combines boogie-woogie with elements of blues, jazz, soul, gospel and pop. Her vocal style has been compared to Bessie Smith, Memphis Minnie and Aretha Franklin. We've got a great set from Eden at the Levitt Shell in Memphis, TN.

Then, playing together as The Juke Joint Duo, Cedric Burnside and Lightnin' Malcolm craft a sound reminiscent of such minimalist rock duos as The Black Keys and The White Stripes, while still retaining a sound uniquely their own. They feature drums, guitar and dual vocal harmonies, and fuse Soul, Hip-Hop and Funk with electrifying Blues that's contemporary and traditional all at the same time.

Plus, Guest Host Cybill Shepherd tells us more about the Women of the Blues.
