Ways To Connect

Arianna Sena

KUNM's Floyd Vasquez chatted with Gwyneth Doland about bills from the state legislature that passed this session as part of our People, Power and Democracy reporting project. Our partners are New Mexico In Depth, New Mexico PBS and the UNM Communication and Journalism Department.

KUNM: The session ended at noon on Saturday. Now that it’s all over, tell us what happened?

There was a development this week in the Mary Han saga. Mary Han was a civil rights attorney who often represented clients with claims against the Albuquerque Police Department.

She was found dead in her home in 2010 and according to police records, within hours of the discovery of her body, APD brass and city administration officials swarmed her home.

In 2013, the New Mexico Attorney General's office issued a findings letter detailing how the crime scene had been contaminated and the investigation terribly mishandled.

KUNM has joined up with the online news outlet New Mexico Compass to report on Albuquerque Police officer-involved shootings.

Thu. 3/22 10p: This time on Fresh, three hours of soulful, international, electronic pop rock alternative jazz dubstep and dance music. We'll feature special guest DJ Adam Morrow (aka ADRACK) who will spin an hour live beginning at 11 p.m.

Thur. 10/27 10p: Bundini,  A.K.A "Scrote", is the featured guest. He is about to embark on a unique 3-week tour.  It's an experimental indie rock duo sort of thing with different drummers in different regions.
