Albuquerque, New Mexico – One story at a time, StoryCorps Historias is recording the Latino stories and voices of our time. 24-year-old Natalie Romero has had her share of problems in life, including becoming a young single mother of two, and losing her father to drug addiction. In this interview with her grandmother, Nancy Gonzales, Natalie gets plenty of advice about life, love and the importance of hard work and perseverance. First, Nancy recalls how her childhood ended too soon.
