Barron credits public media for shining light on his square of the universe. In fact, he was so enlightened by public media’s empowering programming, he decided to return to school to study journalism. He graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and plans to return for a graduate degree.

Barron says he chose journalism, despite warnings from family and friends, because it gives him a license to be nosey while serving the community.

In his spare time (whatever that is), Barron enjoys hanging out with his family and his dog Holmes.
